Fake cruiser unraveled kidnapping, torture, officer says

OAKLAND — A Ford Crown Victoria outfitted to look like an undercover police cruiser helped members of Your Black Muslim bakery kidnap and torture two women but it also led to their capture, a police officer testified Friday.

Had it not been for the fake cruiser, the officer said, he might have never driven near the house where bakery members are accused of torturing one of the women on May 18, 2007.

"It looked exactly like one of the cars I used to drive in the Oakland Police Department," the officer said. "I began driving toward it to make contact with the officer to see if an operation was going on."

That's when the officer, whose name was withheld for his protection, said he heard windows breaking at a house across the street from the car.

The officer immediately focused his attention on the house and heard a woman screaming for help.

"I got out of my police vehicle and began walking toward the house. I still didn't know what was going on," he said. "I saw a woman run out, she was handcuffed, she had cuts all over her face, on the top of her head, on her arms. She was bleeding."

Police and prosecutors allege that the woman was tortured by bakery members, including its leader Yusuf Bey IV, 22, his brother Yusuf Bey V, 21, and two associates, Tamon Halfin, 21, and Richard Lewis, 23.

All four are charged with kidnapping and torture in the case and appeared in court Friday for the continuation of a preliminary hearing. A fifth bakery member originally charged in the case, Joshua Bey, 20, agreed to a plea deal earlier this year in exchange for his testimony against the others.

On Friday, the first Oakland police officer who responded to the scene last May talked about how he stumbled upon the torture and what occurred immediately after he arrived.

The officer's name, however, was kept secret because of what police said were threats made against him by Bey IV during a secretly taped conversation with two other bakery members.

The officer said on the witness stand that the protection was needed because he feared for himself and his family.

"I used to work in North Oakland and I had lots of dealings with the Bey family," he said. "Every time I made a car stop on a Bey family member, I would shortly be encircled by 50 members of the bakery."

The officer said he was confused by the situation he stumbled upon last May until he was able to calm one of the women down enough to find out what happened. It wasn't until she could comprehensively tell the story that the officer said he realized the undercover police cruiser was a fake.

"I was assuming I had a cover unit with me," he said. "There was a lot of confusion that night, lots of hysteria."

The officer said the woman told of how she and her mother had been pulled over by what they thought was a police car and apprehended by men carrying guns and wearing masks.

He said he then noticed that another woman was lying in the back of the fake police cruiser with a blanket over her body.

"She was unable to speak," the officer said of the woman in the car. "She just had a look of horror on her face."

The officer said he quickly called for backup and medical aid and then did a quick search of the house to see if anyone was still inside. He found no one, but did recover a knife and red chair.

Once more police arrived, the officer said a canvass of the neighborhood was conducted, but nobody was found.

Police said they eventually connected the bakery members to the kidnapping, in part, through the Crown Victoria registration, which was registered to a Bey family member.

More violence from the "religion of peace". The mere fact that islam is considered a religion at all is amazing. Islam is more like an organized crime outfit than a religion and it ought to be treated as such. Palestinian killed in Gaza house blast: medics

GAZA CITY (AFP) - A Palestinian was killed and another 16 were wounded on Saturday in an early morning explosion at a house owned by a Hamas member in Gaza City, medics and witnesses said.

Dr. Muawiya Hassanein, the head of Gaza emergency services, confirmed the incident, adding that medics had not yet identified the person who died.

Witnesses said the house belonged to Nadir Abu Shaaban, a member of the Islamist Hamas movement which has ruled Gaza for nearly a year.

The cause of the explosion was not yet known, but several Gazans have been killed and wounded in recent years by accidental explosions while constructing or handling crude homemade rockets and other weapons in the war-torn territory.

Good, another fucked up muslim is dead. If "allah" really existed, would he let these imbeciles blow themselves up accidentally? For our illiterate muslim friends, the answer is no. Teacher Tortures Blind Boy For Not Learning Koran

A BLIND seven-year-old student at an Islamic school in eastern Pakistan has died after his teacher punished him for not learning the Koran, police said today.

Muhammad Atif was hung upside down from a ceiling fan and severely beaten by his teacher, Qari Ziauddin, at the seminary or madrassa in Vihari, near Lahore on Thursday, they said.

Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had ordered in inquiry into the death, an official statement said.

"The Prime Minister has expressed his deep sorrow and concern over the tragic death of Muhammad Atif, who reportedly died as a result of corporal punishment by his teacher,'' the statement said.

Police said the teacher had been arrested on charges of torturing and murdering the boy.

"Qari Ziauddin, who teaches Koran to boys in Qari Latif Islamic school, hanged Atif upside down with a ceiling fan in the school after beating him with sticks, which caused his death,'' local police official Akram Niazi said.

Operation Removes Lightbulb from muslim's Anus

This isn't exactly new news, but this is such incompetent behavior that I felt that it had to be included with recent reports of muslim incompetency.

MULTAN, Pakistan (Reuters) - Fateh Mohammed, a prison inmate in Pakistan, says he woke up last weekend with a glass lightbulb in his ass.

Wednesday night, doctors brought Mohammed's misery to an end after a one-and-a-half operation to remove the object.

"Thanks Allah, now I feel comfort. Today, I had my breakfast. I was just drinking water, nothing else." Mohammad, a grey bearded man in his mid 40's, told Reuters from a hospital bed in the southern central city of Multan.

"We had to take it out intact." said Dr. Farrukh Aftab at Nishtar Hospital.

Mohammad, who is service a four year sentence for making liquor, prohibited for muslims, said he was shocked when he was first told the cause of his discomfort. He swears that he didn't know the bulb was there.

"When I woke up I felt a pain in my lower abdomen, but later in the hospital, they told me this." Mohammad said.

"I don't know who did this to me. Police or other prisoners."

The doctor treating Mohammad said that he'd never encountered anything like it before, and doubted the felon's story that someone had drugged him and inserted the bulb while he was comatose.

Muslim convert held after nail bomb blast in restaurant

These must be tough times for jihadis and radical muslims. Between having to kidnap christian women to marry muslim men in Nigeria to further islam, strapping bombs to mental retards in Iraq and the UK and having bombs go off prematurely it's clear that all is not well in radical islam.

Apparently they are scraping the bottom of the barrel these days. Actually, they've been dealing with mental midgets for some time now.

Richard Reid, the "shoe bomber" who was caught after someone smelled the matches he was trying to light on a flight out of Heathrow.

Then you've got Zacharias Moussawi, the 19th hijacker from 9/11 - busted when he told his flight instructors that he wasn't interested in learning how to take off or land, but rather to just fly the plane once it was in flight. Good thinking Zack! Where were you when god handed out brains?

If this is the best that radical islam can muster in their jihad against all things non-islam, then we've got nothing to worry about.

A Muslim convert with a history of mental illness was being held under armed guard tonight after he apparently detonated a nail bomb in a family restaurant.

Nicky Reilly, 22, who suffered serious facial injuries in the blast, is thought to have carried out the alleged attack after being 'preyed upon and radicalised' by Islamic extremists.

Police and bomb disposal teams were called in after diners at the Giraffe restaurant in Exeter city centre heard three blasts go off in a toilet as they were having lunch.

Deputy chief constable Tony Melville, speaking just yards from the restaurant, said: "Witnesses described how a male entered a toilet in the restaurant shortly before an explosion was heard."

He said police and other emergency services went to the scene and the man was arrested in connection with the explosion.

Mr Melville said: "This male, who we now know is called Nicky Reilly, suffered serious facial injuries but these are not life threatening.

"He is currently in police custody undergoing treatment at a hospital."

Bomb disposal experts made safe two explosive devices which are now being forensically examined, said Mr Melville.

"After the arrest, police searched an address in King Street, Plymouth, linked to Reilly using armed officers from the tactical aid group."

Mr Melville said the premises were still being searched.

He said: "Our investigations so far indicate Reilly, who has a history of mental illness, had adopted the Islamic faith.

"We believe, despite his weak and vulnerable state, he was preyed upon, radicalised and taken advantage of."

Mr Melville said the police knew Reilly travelled between Plymouth and Exeter today using the bus service.

He said the police were releasing his photograph because they wanted anyone who saw him today, or could help the police track his movements over recent weeks, to contact them.

Earlier, witnesses said officers had to break down the cubicle door because the 22-year-old refused to come out.

When he emerged, wearing jeans and a dark t-shirt, blood was running down his face and all over his clothes.

He was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital, where he is under armed guard, for treatment to a severely lacerated eye and facial burns. None of the customers or 15 staff at the restaurant was hurt.

Police forensic teams are believed to have recovered one or two canisters of sodium-based home made explosive either from the toilet or outside the restaurant.

"I think everyone in the restaurant thought the same as us.

"They thought the first blast was something normal, when they heard the second there was doubt and when the third one happened it turned to concern.

"There was absolutely no panic and I heard one customer say after the first bang they thought a light bulb had popped.

"We were sat very close to the opening where there were doors to the two toilets, one of which is disabled and the other is a cubicle used by both men and woman.

"I could tell the sound came from the cubicle but I was not in a position to see if there was a flash.

"Afterwards I saw a little piece of orange material which looked as if could have come from a cartridge and which may have been blown under the door.

"The staff tried to get into the toilet but it was locked and they must have called the police.''

Giraffe is a national chain of restaurants which are popular with families as they encourage children by giving out balloons and crayons.

Another diner, who would be identified only as Trudy, said: "It was definitely an explosion, it sounded like the lights were exploding.

"There was a lot of glass. I think it came from the toilet.

"There was concern, I wouldn't say there was panic, everyone got up and the staff were very good getting everyone out."

There have been attacks on shopping centres in the West Country over the past 25 years which have been linked to animal rights extremists but sources said last night that initial inquiries suggested the incident was not connected.

The Princesshay shopping centre, where the restaurant is situated, was evacuated before a Royal Navy bomb disposal team were sent in to make the devices safe.

Bob Astley, 70, from Melbourne in Australia, was shopping in Exeter, Devon, with his sister when the bomb went off.

He said: "I heard three loud bangs. Police were here immediately. They have cordoned off a really large area.

"I am just feeling very lucky and thankful at the moment.'

Devon and Cornwall chief constable Stephen Otter said: "There were two devices, one in the cafe and one nearby.

"We do not know precisely how bad it could have been if they had gone off but it would have been quite serious.

"That is why we are treating this as a serious incident and investigating it quite thoroughly.

"I cannot confirm if it was a nail bomb. We are still examining the devices.

"In terms of motive we will look at all possibilities. I just cannot say what the motive is at this stage.

"We always work with the Metropolitan Police when there has been an explosion and we do not understand the motive."

Witness Margaret Sellars, 63, said: "It was chaos. I have never known anything like it. You might expect it in London or other big cities but not Devon.''

Mother-of-one Louise Platt, 27, said: "I was walking around the shops and I felt a strong vibration. There was a loud noise which sounded like work from a building site.

"Somebody shouted 'a bomb has gone off'. I was very afraid. Police arrived and pushed us away from the area and cordon it all off.''

Eyewitness Alison Fewins, 27, added: "We were out shopping and were about three or four shops away when we heard a noise.

"We didn't connect it with any kind of explosion. A few people were running around and we heard police cars.

"I am a bit shaken. It's all a bit scary that it happened."

Police investigated reports of three other devices in a McDonald's, Primark and another shop in the city centre following calls from members of the public but no further devices have been found.

Thousands of office and shop workers left for home when they realised they would not be able to return to workplaces as police sealed off the city centre.

Many shoppers were forced to abandon their cars in the main car park inside the cordon and only yards from the blast site.

Juliet Joffe, a director of Giraffe which has 21 restaurants and five franchises across the UK, said: "I have been given no explanation. As far as I am aware only one man was hurt, the man they think walked in with the device.''

Earlier Chief Constable Stephen Otter said they were working with the Metropolitan Police as they did with any explosion for which they could find no explanation.

More than 100 police officers from all over the region were drafted in to the city centre, a large area of which was cordoned off with shops, offices and restaurants evacuated.

The police asked business premises in the area to hold onto their CCTV footage in case it became relevant during the investigation.

Incompetent Palestinian truck bomber blows self up at border crossing

This kind of thing doesn't surprise me anymore because fanatical muslims are basically uneducated, incompetent morons who are just past the development stage of an amoeba.

These accidental discharges happen all the time, in fact another one just happened earlier today in the UK. The news is reporting that two nail bombs we found in the Cornwall area at a shopping or restaurant area. One bomb was rendered inert by the bomb squad, the other detonated in a locked bathroom stall. One person was taken to the hospital with burns and shrapnel woulds but it appears that it was the bomber who was the injured one. They haven't released a name yet but as soon as I find out whether it's a Mohammed or an Abdul, I'll be posting that here as well.

Palestinian truck bomber attacks border crossing

GAZA (Reuters) - A truck laden with four tonnes of explosives blew up near an Israeli border crossing with the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip on Thursday but only the suicide bomber was killed in the blast heard 30 km (18 miles) away.
Israeli media reports said soldiers fired at the vehicle as it approached Erez Crossing. An army spokeswoman said it had exploded on the Palestinian side of the frontier, blowing out windows in nearby buildings.

In other violence, Israeli soldiers shot and killed one Palestinian and wounded 10 others, medical workers said, after youths taking part in a Hamas rally against Gaza border closures approached Israel's Karni Crossing, medical workers said.

An Israeli army spokesman said troops shot a gunman in an exchange of fire with armed men in the crowd.

Egyptian efforts to secure a Gaza truce to end Israeli raids and cross-border rocket attacks by militants have so far been unsuccessful. Hamas said Israel's refusal to agree to reopen borders as soon as a truce goes into effect was delaying a deal.

The militant Islamic Jihad group said it carried out the Erez operation in cooperation with the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an offshoot of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's secular Fatah group, to avenge Israeli attacks on Palestinians.

Abu Ahmed, a spokesman for Islamic Jihad's armed wing, said the truck carried four tonnes of explosives. He identified the suicide bomber as 23-year-old Ibrahim Nasser from Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip.

Israeli and Gaza Strip residents living up to 30 km (18 miles) from the crossing reported hearing the blast.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said two other men involved in the attack were hit by missiles fired by an Israeli helicopter at their getaway vehicle. Islamic Jihad said the men had managed to leap from the vehicle before it was struck.

The spokeswoman said there were no Israeli casualties.

Separately, but at the time of the bombing, Israeli troops raided a village in the central Gaza Strip and shot dead a 63-year-old man, medical workers and Hamas said.

U.N. CONDEMNATION

Robert Serry, the U.N.'s special coordinator for the Middle East peace process, condemned the Erez attack.

"Incidents of this kind are totally unacceptable. They also act against the interests of the population of the Gaza Strip, because aid workers and medical cases must pass through Erez," Serry said.

He also called on Israel to ensure its military "operates with care and restraint, ensuring its actions are in full conformity to international humanitarian law."

Israel tightened its restrictions on the movement of Palestinian people and goods through its border crossings with the Gaza Strip when Hamas seized the territory from Fatah in fighting last June.

An Israeli government official said Hamas, by continuing to attack "these humanitarian crossing points" was demonstrating its "complete disregard for the welfare of its own people."
